- Tune into Global Village every saturday at 7.40pm on Newstalk 106-108 FM .
- Broadcasting like this promotes discussion, challenges stigma and will hopefully encourage listeners who may be experiencing difficulties to seek the help that they need.

Below is an expert of the statement issued by the show's presenter Dil Wickremasinghe;
Global Village is good for your mental health! July 12, 2011
On Global Village we are well used to tackling thorny issues as it is our belief that media needs to play a more active role in challenging prejudice in Ireland.
Mental health is a topic very close to my heart as I have publicly spoken about my own mental health journey and how as a victim of abuse I have been able to move from surviving to living life thanks to the services of One In Four.
I have personally felt that there is still a huge gap between a person experiencing mental health difficulties and actually picking up the phone and asking for help because of stigma and lack of awareness. Although we speak about mental health on Global Village frequently I thought it would be helpful if we had a regular slot much like our award winning legal column which has helped hundreds of listeners in relation to their legal entitlements.
I wanted to invite on the programme someone who is not only a mental health professional but somene who has experienced the Irish mental health support services from all aspects including as a service user.
I am delighted to announce that from Saturday 16th July Caroline McGuigan will join me live in studio to kick off our bi-weekly mental health feature on Global Village.
